After some water fun, you can visit the Museum of Technology and Transport. The Szczecin Museum houses the cars Poles used to love – children are bound to enjoy themselves. Make sure your trip includes the Breakthrough Dialogue Centre (Centrum Dialogu Przełomy) which speaks about the breakthroughs in Szczecin during 1939-1989. The modern multimedia facility was created with the participation of famous contemporary Polish visual artists. It is situated at the Solidarności Square, underground. The Museum has received an award for the best public space in Europe.
Adjacent to the Museum is Szczecin’s second most famous structure – the Philharmonic. An icon of European architecture, the edifice has won numerous architectural awards, and the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award. Guided tours of the Philharmonic are available every Tuesday and Friday during the summer holidays.
